Hi All, looking for some advice on diagnostic tool/software. i dont want to break the bank but willing to buy something decent. i have a 2002 and a 2006 set of L322's both TD6. the plan is to restore both to their former glory. what do you guys recommend?

so...... bit of an update. we removed the passenger seat, carpet around footwell and it was soaking with water. All electrics under seat have been effected i think. BCM was pretty much submerged. lots or green on the connections. we drained and cleaned the connectors but no joy. i have a 2nd...

yep......... no joy im afraid. it has to be something electrical or the BCM. carpet on drivers side was wet today when i called over.

the binnacle wasnt working at one point and she still fired up. can you just swap it out or does it need coding?

hes been doing my Motors for years, hes extremely knowledgeable and is an ex BMW master tech. Hes not working on it constantly to be fair...... he has a look when he gets a few hours to spare during quiet periods of the week. he would be open to any advice you guys might have. was over with him...

he just said the fault codes arent linked to it not starting. im really really worried at this stage. maybe i sould get it transported to a main dealer.

no fault codes that relate to a non start issue. it just wont fire up......

thanks all, alternator has been been replaced 2,500 miles ago according to history. checked all earth connections, all seem good. would the BCM be an issue? ive noticed the passanger side footwell is a bit damp.

nope as we cant get my l322 started. My Mechanic tried my battery in his L322 and it was 13.9v under load. started his with no issue.

yep old battery was checked and new battery unit was tested ........ no joy im afraid
