    Got One !

That's a good price. I paid £6500 for my 02 Td5 GS 3 yrs ago. 82k on clock, one owner from new and full supplying dealer service history. Mint inside and out. It was a proper Chelsea tractor, kept finding golf tees in it for months after buying it, lol. Now sporting de cat, no centre box, re...

Disco 2 2004 Radio Cage Removal

Hi, I recently removed the stock radio cassette from my 02 td5 and replaced it with a pioneer mp3 dab unit. Can't remember exactly the removal method but I think it was like discool said. I know a kept both the old cage and unit in case it needs to be replaced ever. However I do know that to...

    Cat removal

Unfortunately on disco 2 the vin had either a 8 or 9 in the number denoting if it came with a cat fitted from factory, let's hope mot testers don't use this fact.

    New mot rules

It's easy to tell whether a disco 2 came out of the factory with a cat fitted by checking the vin. The 8th digit is either a 8 for cat fitted or 9 for no cat fitted, as per Rave CD. Whether mot testers will use or know this depends on individual testers I suppose. EGR valve missing is a fail. No...

    Discovery 2 td5 2002 egr advice

Thanks for all the replies guys. Looking at engine cover I can see the blanking plate visible so mot tester would be able to see without removing it. Might either refit egr and leave it not working with blank plate fitted inline or extend engine cover with a bit cut from from plastic steering...

    Discovery 2 td5 2002 egr advice

Hi again after a long absence. I'm after some advice regarding egr on my disco td5 2002. A while ago I removed my egr and fitted a blanking kit. Also removed centre box and cat and had a remap. Loads of power now. However mot will be up in September and thanks to new rules the cat and egr will...

    Sunroof Leaks Sealant Advice

I can strongly recommend sikaflex 221,295 or 296 uv. I work building superyachts and use all of the above products, either general sealing/sticking with 221 or 295/296 to stick windows in with. As the boats withstand all sorts of conditions at sea, they are not going to leak with British rain...

    disco 2 strange lock problem

Hi everyone, so now it's time to ask for my first bit of advice with my newish landy. The drivers door central locking motor has recently stopped working on key plip. It locks fine on speed lock but won't unlock when ignition is turned off. It also locks ok with dash switch but won't unlock with...

    hi all

Thanks for the hello Lisbeth and v8geoff. Well looks like I need some new bumper clips after reversing into a rather large boulder on the moors over the weekend. Luckily the only damage seems to be a loose corner trim. Lucky this time.

    hi all

Hi to everyone on here. Just a quick hello. I'm the proud owner of a 02 (since December 2015 ) discovery 2 td5 GS. 83k miles and one previous owner who had full supplying dealership service history ( obviously more money than sense ). It even went to dealer for new trim clips to be fitted ...
