when it was turned off and back on it was okay but when accelerator pushed it carried on increasing revs but maybe one sticks but at the moment think more likely to do with accelerator but not sure

What I am hoping is as it turned off with the key it was diesel being sent through the injectors so the problem is not mechanical but do not know what damage it may have done

That was my first thought hence checking the oil, expected to find it full of diesel

That is what I thought or diesel getting down in the engine oil and then into cylinder but if that would not turn off with key I think? I have had that happen more than once and had to stall the engine, think it is to do with accelerator controller

not too sure about the td4 engine but might be if there is a cam and crank sensor the ecu checks timing is okay, with compression if you are right on the edge of being okay the compression might just push it over the edge, a long shot but if you have fuel and compression it should run, other...

Try putting 3 back into engine and see if it tries to start and also see if the one left out is still working

You should try doing a LHD one, pipe goes all the way across to where it would be on a RHD then comes back again
