    freelander 1 td4 alarm keeps going off

    My rear door sometimes triggers the alarm it just registers as closed but will move to show it is open and triggers the alarm, try not shutting the rear door completely, then locked the doors, doors will lock and the horn will sound once, if the alarm then does not go off you know where to start...

    Remember the old saying "Grinding and filling make me the welder I am not" has not got to be great as not structural just has to look okay take your time practices on scrap first and all will be okay, get a fire extinguisher just in case and water and sponge for small fires just in case

    I had a 2.0 diesel when they first came out and it was okay but the one we have now, td4 drives so much better I know there is more to go wrong but there is space to work on it, no timing belt lots of info on line and here about problems, I would buy a well looked after late td4
