No...it must be UNLOCKED.............it will be unlocked unless you locked it :) (if it locked it'll just climb out the rollers as soon as the start.) You can check the foot brake as normal. You cant check the handbrake. The center diff can easilly cope with 10 seconds on a brake...

you can brake test a disco on brake rollers with the props on. The center diff obviously needs to not be locked. The slow speed of the brake rollers will do it no harm.

In theory it could possibly rotate.....but it wont :) Better to be safe than sorry though....stick something thats taller than a flattend you under it just in case :)

have you fitted the ball joint to the axle? Id bolt it to the arms first :) It should not be dificult as there nothing under tension then.

I have hawk door lockiing kit...i can open my doors with the key and the cdl opens the other doors. No lock on the pass side handle so I can only open the drivers door with the key. I cant see how the kit would change anything to do with the locks....its only a rod attached to and existing rod...
