    New battery time

My battery seems to be struggling to turn over my engine now the mornings are getting a lot colder. I do not understand batteries one bit!! Not sure what is on there at the moment, will have a check later but was wondering what is the largest I can get away with using on my 90. Does it matter...

    springer spaniel qs

We were recommended by our vets to wait until after the first season before having it done, although rescue centres like the RSPCA seem to do them at any age before the bitches are rehomed without any problems so I dont think it matters too much really.

    Advice on a 90?

Would not touch the Ebay one you have linked too. Sounds like a nail. Has had a lot of welding done so chassis probably aint got much life left in it and rear crossmember is covered with chequer plate so that is usually a good indication that it is rotten. Sounds like you could do with going...

    Front Seat Removal

Just look down between the bulkhead and the seat with a torch. You can see the head of the bolts. If you have got hex headed bolts then just grab the head with a pair of grips or something whilst undoing the nut.

Back on the road at last :D

Looks cracking that mate. What seats do you have fitted in the back?? Any pics??

Removing (or not!) the middle seat for cubby box installation

Taken mine in and out loads of times. Just stick an open ended spanner on the bolt inside and use a ratchet and socket for the nuts underneath. There is loads of room under there for a ratchet. Hardest part is manouvering the frame out once all the bolts are removed. Takes a bit of wiggling...

    Rear heated window help

Thanks. I will have to have a rummage around and see if there is any loose plugs or anything about up there.

    Rear heated window help

Can anyone tell me where the wiring should go from the rear window. I have a heated rear window in my 90 which appears to all be wired up but I do not have a switch anywhere to turn it on. Where should the wiring run too and where should the switch be?? Owned it for almost two years and only...

    Defender 90 Rear crossmember

Highly recommend getting a Pressbrake (blacksheep) rear crossmember. Had one fitted a few weeks ago and it is one seriously fantastic quality bit of kit. It will outlast the rest of my landy by years :D. Would have loved to have had Clive do the work for me, but he was too far away, so he...

    CB aerial on the wing?

I tried this and could not get it to SWR at all. Had a rubbish signal. I have chequer plate on my wings though so maybe that was the problem.

    Safe chassis drilling ?

Can not see how you would get much strength without having a tube welded in. If you can not weld I would get someone to do it for you. Better to have piece of mind than ripping your chassis to bits when you next need recovering.

Best way to get cb aerial into a defender?

On mine I pulled off the door seal right at the top corner towards the front of the car and put the wire through and then put the seal back up. Mine is a lot older than yours so may be different or you may have less gaps than mine!!

    300tdi raised air intake

Also, for the axle breathers just run them all into a manifold under the bonnet and then you can get a bulkhead fitting which looks really good if you drill it out just behind the snorkel. You can then run a pipe up the outside of your snorkel and into the mushroom.
