    Diff Pinion Flange Dropped Off

I assume that they want access to the inspector without him having any chance of discussing the issues with me first, thus allowing them to present their excuses uncontested.

    Diff Pinion Flange Dropped Off

I have arranged for an independent inspection of the propshaft and diff as per the garages' suggestion, and now they suddenly say that 'it's not convenient' because, even though the premises will still be open, their Ops Director is on holiday! Can they refuse access?

    Reliability

Hi Uncle STan, My 110 Hard Top is of 1989 vintage, with a 2.5l normally aspirated engine, and until recently all maintenance and tuning was done by me at home, in the street, and have even had people queueing up in the street to have their N/A engines tuned. I paid to have a galvanised chassis...

2.4 TDCI will not turn over

It's always nice to heasr that someone has managed to get their problems sorted ... even if you feel a bit of a dipstick when it turns out to be something so obvious that it often gets overlooked! :p:p I have spent may years learning and being a complete pillock at times. :D:D

How many "spare" relays do you need?

Spare set of all lights, including dash. Full range of fuses Decent digital multimeter At least 3m of as many different bits of wire you can think of Spade connectors, M&Fplus crimping tool ... NOT hairdressers! Set of flat and crosshead screwdrivers and a hammer Relays, IIRC they are mainly...

2.4 TDCI will not turn over

Do the dash lights dim when you turn the key? Do you hear a click at all? Do you know where the solenoid is? Have you got a pair of insulated pliers to short across the solenoid terminals? Is the spade on the end of the white bit of wire with a red trace connected to the solenoid relay?

CLUTCH push rod length ? part number ??

What is the difference in length? As the rod is on a spring return from the clutch operating lever, I would have thought that the only difference in its performance would be that the rod goes deeper into the slave cylinder, which should be OK. Anyone else have an opinion?

    Newbie

Bear in mind that a pretty, shiny body is fitted on top of a potentially rotten through and through steel chassis due to thetinworm that doesn't affect alluminium, yet feasts on mild steel. The engine should be well balanced and sound like an industrial sewing machine, there should be no plat at...

    Lt77

Try it again on the flat, as it doesn't take much of an angle to give the impression that there is too much/too little oil in the sump.
