One word - silicone. Most folk replace the rubber hoses with silicone ones. You can take your pick on eBay. There are fancy performance names and colours available, but you just want the right fit and good quality ones.

Sprayed PB Blaster over all the bolts relating to the removal of the rear sub frame and suspension arms next week. Will give them another liberal coating on Tuesday. Genuine LR propshaft flange bolts received and in the parts box ready. And got a bigger jack and a larger set of axle stands...

Hi Jamie - welcome to the forum…! What Freelander do you have? SD4 F2 assuming, which I think has command shift? Anyway, the m/s next to an auto selector (the F1 has a similar thing) basically is ‘manual’ or ‘sport’. In so much as you can leave it there and the car will hold gears longer...
