Just had confirmation that it is HG failure after doing a compression test, so will be pulling the engine out after the holiday and doing a full rebuild and considering doing LPG conversion too. A big thanks to all members that have advised

No idea yet but i fear more than the car is worth. Having said that i have waited years to own this model and one in this colour so the cost is not really the issue for me

No this is a keeper I have broken a few P38s over the years and breaking is too much like hard work :)

Long day and the recovery truck just got the RR to it's new home. The RAC somehow knew the RR had no MOT on it and made me pay £341.00 to get her home :mad: but on the plus side the car has 2 key fobs @Datatek :) the car is mint inside and out too which i am delighted about. Just got to sort the...

Thanks a million much appreciated. What about the expected HG failure when i spoke with the garage the RR is at they confirmed the pressure test was down on the left bank. The gearbox was replaced with a new unit and documented with a kosher receipt

Answer is still no but thanks again. I have always taken folk as 100% genuine but i still have my doubts that something is no right. a sleepless night for me
