Yes you're right, I didn't read the post correctly. That said the panels the OP wants are going to be from a series either 88 or 109 and then being fitted to a series so it shouldn't matter.

All rear doors from 1958 to 2016 are the same size. Older doors have non anti burst locks and newer doors have glass held in by rubber strips, not angled Ali and 35 screews! So I don't know why a 109 door wouldnt fit your 88.

Have you done a compression check? If your valves are burning out due to lack of leaded fuel (or lack of additive) that would affect power and running.

Could you not just buy a flywheel, housing and starter from a 3 mb and fit them as a set? Cheaper than £600.

Its my understanding that trailers should be slightly 'nose down' so 100mm might be ok. I'd get the trailer then work out the technicalities later!
