Series 3 diesel temp gauge barely rising ?

It could be the sender, the gauge or the voltage regulator that are [playing up. The only way to be sure is to test each component individually. Of course you can't rule out the thermostat, just because its 'fairly new' doesn't mean its not packed up. I'd test that first. How hot is the top...

2.5 N/A Fuel Pipe Part Numbers

I have a series 2 with a 2.5 N/A [partially] fitted. There are no fuel feed pipes from the tank to the lift pump, from/to the filter, to/from IP or injectors back to the tank. Does anyone know the part numbers for the pipes or a good website/pdf where I can identify them myself? Reposted this...

    Indicators.

The indicator contacts are a copper stud, which is touched by a stiff wire to complete the circuit. The wire might be bent or most likely the stud is dirty. Rub down the studs and make sure the wire makes good contact. Your original stalk will be far higher quality than a new one, best to...

Where do you buy your spares??

Paddocks if it's a big order, DLS on ebay are good value. Shop around though and make sure you compare like for like, some pattern parts stuff is rubbish.

Ive never fitted one, I've done a few Fairy overdrives before but I can't imagine it being much harder to fit.

    Series 3 Timing chain question

Mine rattled for about 10 years, when I got round to changing it there was probably still another 10 years left in it. As @Wildefalcon says if it's running it's fine.

    D2 vs FL2

I do not have a FL2 or have I ever owned one, I have considered one myself and have researched the pros and cons of them. From what I've read I think they are good choice for what you want, unless you intend to tow heavy trailers. They are competent off road, even better with the correct tyres...

Mystery water leaking under the landy

I don't have a vehicle with A/C but I have seen this on some of the works cars. I don't know how much A/C condensers 'leak' but I imagine its depends on how hard they are working. If it's not coolant and not washer fluid there's very little else it could be, unless its rainwater pooling...

    Series 2 engine recommission

I'd take the plugs out, squirt a bit of oil in the bores and then turn the engine over by hand a few times. I would change the oil and filter before attempting to start it and (obviously) refill the coolant. If its a petrol you'd need to check/clean the points and dizzy cap and probably swap...

    Anyone recognise this noise?

Looks like you caught it in time. Genuine or OEM parts only for that I think.
