The leak could be coming from the brake booster vac pump, that is a common oil leak spot and located pretty well above the oil filter housing.

Good idea to check the actual pressure with a gauge, good idea to have a guage as a permanent fitting. If it's an issue it should only be the relief but not sure if that is integral on a 200 tdi oil pump, JM will know.

I use a product called "Maniseal" on exhaust manifold to head and manifold to downpie on my D1 300tdi , it is a ceramic putty type stuff that does not shrink when the metal cools. Don't know if it's available over your way but I think Holts make a similar product.
