It could be easier to fit a new switch, while you're talking about this subject could anyone help me, when i select reverse the lights light up and when i start reversing they die out, im not sure if its the earth or somthing else but any sujestions would be greatly appreciated.

The timing may be out, or if it has a mechanical fuel injector pump check the wires that connect to it to see if they may be corroded :rolleyes: ;)

Buy a haynes service book and it will show the wiring diagrams and tell you what colour all the wires are all you need to do then is find out what all the wires on the radio are put them together and you've cracked it !!!

Try selecting the gears with the small stick whilest moving at about 10 Mph it should work !!!

On some later series 2 discos, when bought from new there was a factory option to have it fitted or not, just have a play around with the smaller stick if it has one as im not sure but if you engage diff lock, a light will apear on the dash !!! :) :D ;)
