Hi dave, I had similar problems with mine. It turned out to to be that I'd bent the copper pipe that goes from the master cylinder round the bulkhead to the union before the slave. Once I replaced that pipe it was plain sailing Hope this helps! Steve

I had similar questions about my 200tdi, when i bought it- although mine was worse than that. In the end i found a garage that supplied a very solid replacement from a 300tdi. They supplied it and warranted it for £300, and fitted it for another £300, as well as supplying me with a G4 courtesy...

You can get at the underside of the bolts really easily by removing the black panel that goes over the transmission tunnel part of the seat box- in between the front seats. Then you can get at the underside of the bolts.

It turns out the garage in London that fitted a UJ a while back didn't bother to mark the Prop, so put it back in wrong and it was unbalanced. GRR. Thanks for your advice though, Steve

I had a 1999 T plate petrol 3 door hardback, with roof bars, soft nudge bar with spots and lamp guards. Cost me 3 grand when i bought it in 2007, with 64k and full service history. Looked fantastic. I did 26k miles (mostly hard miles) in it in one year and it never, ever let me down. I miss it...

So to summarise: the Truck is now leaking a worrying amount of Power Steering fluid from the steering box and clutch fluid from the pedal, not to mention the growing drip from the gearbox. And i've checked the drive flanges and half-shafts- both seem to be fine, and don't look worn at all. So...

Not yet, i'll do it when it's light- i don't have any half-shaft gaskets to hand at the moment.

Thanks for the advice. I've had it on axle stands and checked the prop, uj's wheel bearings, the diff pinion is fine and i've fiddled with everything else i can think of. I'll play it safe with recovery until i can get it to a garage. Cheers!
