Had to replace the aircon fan as my motor turned out to be a lump of rust. problem being replacement fan works if I connect too the battery but not when plugged to car. I tried force on with hawkeye nothing, I also tried with bridging relay 30 and 87. any ideas please.

Just changed my auto fluid had similar symptoms. when I drained the sump I only got 2.2 ltrs out. on refilling it took 4.8 ltrs. not had a test drive yet as its still on axle stands waiting a jet wash and chassis paint. Thanks all. I did have some water loss but that turned out to be the fuel cooler. done around 600 miles since repair and no water loss. I have new radiator,waterpump (airtex) new genuine thermostat and new genuine filler cap.

My friend has a 99 discovery td5 he can drive 100 miles and undo the header tank cap with no hissing or water loss ie no pressure. where as mine 20 miles you undo the cap slowly to release pressure too quick you lose a bit of water and he insists I have a head gasket going. he says his is normal.

It doesn't have a diff lock lever but I suppose could have been manually selected. I have only covered 350 ish miles since owning but it does have some odd cornering. where would I find the switc or wires that may be shorting.

My 2001 td5 has decided to launch the 2 amigos tc abs it also show the diff lock symbol this eventually goes off and leaves just the 2 Mexicans.no fault code stored. sometimes the lights will clear after a run. can leave car couple of hours then on restart without moving they come back.
