There were some ex Aussie military 6x6s on eBay recently and I was surprised how cheap they were. Worth a look as a lot of the hard engineering is already sorted.

Can you not strip a lot of the sub frame off the new seats and fit the original runners to the bottom instead?

Looks good for the price but you really need to have a poke around its nether regions looking for chassis rot etc and the usual places on the bulkhead. Definitely worth a look I'd say!

Is that because you got one of those special NON limited edition self external lubricating landrover engines? :)

For the sake of sourcing some consumables I reckon it's worth it, you never know you might really like the motor and hate a tdi, figures ain't always everything.

That would make sense especially as I'm pretty sure they are fitted with hydraulic winches.

Only thing is that sticker has no background colour ie it's clear except for the writing and oval border.

It would make sense though if the hole was already there in all seats though ;)
