    Safari Snorkel 300 TDI/V8

Far be it for me, as a 'nooby' () to interfear here but where, exactly, does it state you must have 50 posts to sell Landy parts? The only rules I can see were written by Roy in 2011 and mention nothing whatsoever about having 50 posts:confused:

200tdi Coolant Leak / Loose bolt from block!

If its sheared off flush then its a case of drilling out and re-tapping which is a pig of a job. If there is a bit of bolt projecting out you may be lucky and get it out with a stilsons, either way, a real bastid of a job:(

200tdi Coolant Leak / Loose bolt from block!

Spanner size is 32mm and its a left hand thread. Ya cant take the fan cowl off easily if the viscous fan is still in place. A cranked viscous fan spanner is cheap enough on ebay. If the bolts have been put in correctly using locktite then you will need to shock 'em with a hammer and maybe a bit...

What is the correct colour is my Defender please?

Yes you can get a 'Land Rover Ivory White' but I dont know what the paint code is, sorry. I bought some in aerosol cans from Bearmach so I could respray my wheels. Redhand is just busting your balls so take it easy mate Good luck on your quest for paint:)

    Timing tools

The kit wont determine which notch is correct, you will but the proper kit will lock it correctly! the narrower notch is TDC, spray some florescent paint on it so you know for future reference. Simple:D

    Timing tools

I like to do things properly, if the mark on the crank was 'sort of TDC' then yes, use a drill bit. Its not, the mark is TDC, so use a proper timing kit!

    Timing tools

200disco, ignore all that crap...get a proper timing kit! DEFENDER90DAZ was good enough to give me a link to a company on ebay selling them for £30! If you're desperate try and borrow one from a mechanic. Using a drill bit/fettled bolt is a cowboy way of doing it. If you want to lock your...

    Fuel pump primer problems

If there was no resistance then the pump was probably 'on cam' which basically means the internal lever on the pump was in the fully up position, if you crank the engine slightly it should come off cam and you should then be able to prime it. This video may help...... Something you should know...

What have you done to your Landie today.

Got a part worn (8mm tread) Bridgestone 205 r16 fitted for £20:D I have 3 spare wheels, just found out that two are from a Defender and one from a series, picked the sereis wheel to have the tyre fitted to (just my luck), discovered it had an inner tube, insisted they fit the tubless tyre to...
