    Original engine every time. Who says its a decent recon? The seller? Never trust the seller.

    If you paid £4500 for it insurance will probably value it a £3000 at most and if it gets nicked will pay out £1500-£2000 if you're very, very lucky. They wont take into account the engine rebuild.

    Just noticed the add says 45,000 miles but the photo of the odometer shows 170,000 miles! You've got turbo problems big style mate

    Definitely a 200tdi engine but probably out of a Disco. Doubt its only done 45,000 miles though if the odometer is original to the vehicle.
