Looks like a Rangie's been shagging a push bike.

    Removing a TD5 steering wheel???

Not a Landy, a Peugeot, but same problem. I ended up phoning our local garage, by this time half the dash was out, I was told to just hit the wheel with the heel of my hand that way you don't hit it too hard. Work around the wheel and it will eventually come off. As above leave the nut on a...

    Classic Buttercup has a leak

It was dry today (but effin cold wind) so took Buttercup out for a drive for 20 miles, back on the hardstanding and grovelling underneath saw no signs of diesel so hopefully cured. Just another of those things to keep an eye on, but happy bunny.:):):)

What did you do with your Range Rover today

A good while ago I was in my French plated LHD Disco V8 driving along the M4. Kept passing and being passed by a car, we were both doing around 80mph, blue flashing lights behind so pulled into the off ramp, copper went straight past me and nailed the other car who was in front at the time. The...

    AIR FILTER

I bought a RRC V8 for trialling, it had K&N filters on when I bought it. A total faff with the amount of dust thrown around in the summer months, I was cleaning and oiling them every other month. The only reason I kept them on was I would have had to buy and fit the whole air system, so inertia...

    Classic Buttercup has a leak

Cut some silicon rubber sheet I had kicking around to replace the old rubber seal, seems to seal OK. Cleaned the diesel off the inner wing, waiting for a dry day now to try it out on the road.

    Classic Buttercup has a leak

OK, so an update, took Buttercup out for a little run today - the roads being dry - and sure enough when I parked back at home there was a slight leak of diesel dripping on the hardstanding. Had a shufti underneath and the leak is at the bottom of the opening in the wing that the filler goes...

I might well be wrong, but I think I've seen an advert for Michelin tyres like that. Maybe on froggy tv.

What have you done on your 90/110/130 today?

Nowt exciting, just changed the battery, but as it was a big one I ended up having to take the seat out to swap them over. Exide 100/900, remembered to charge it up first. Didn't realise the old one had been on so long, I thought something like 4 or 5 years, checked through the recipt file and...

200tdi glow plug issue causing white smoke and bad start up?

You know, it woudn't surprise me at all if the installers of the engine didn't bother with glow wireing at all, given that a 200 would normally start well without. Adding a decent relay and switch is a doddle if you just use a little logic, I have had to do that on Buttercup, if I can do it...

You dont know how lucky you are in UK..

I used to know of a back street garage in Cheltenham that could get Mot's via the post, for a price, god knows how they fiddled the emissions?

    Classic Buttercup has a leak

Thanks to you all for the replies. Right plan of action............I have no pressing need to drive it at the moment so I think I shall degrease/clean up the area, when dry, both road and wing, take her out for a run and see what happens. I don't have a problem replacing hoses etc as long as I...

    Classic Buttercup has a leak

Am I worrying about nowt, or should I start to panic. Got back from a run yesterday and when the doris got out she said "your leaking something" meaning the Rangie, and sure enough liquid was dripping onto the ground just behind the rear right mud-flap. Anyway, took the shopping into the house...

What have you done on your 90/110/130 today?

The 90 (Norman) passed his emissions test today :):):):):) Here in froggy land I have to have the emissions tested every year even though the CT (mot) is every 2 years, due to my health problems this year I forgot to get it done, should have been done in June :eek: lucky no plod have had a...
