I was used to immobiliser chips hence the question . Will try one last reflow first. Other thing of worry is seeing fobs removed from list . Both of mine were refurbished as well. Nice new switches. Those are the most common ones i have seen.

One seems to be well knackered, almost like it was EMPed. So I need a new one. What is the best course I have? Got a Hawkeye. Where is the immobiliser chip? Can I reuse a second hand one, once reswitched?

BTW I drop new switches on these as a matter of course.

My plan is to buy a couple off Ebay, refurbish and get them coded to my D2. Is this workable, what kit do I need? Can a D2 recognise 3 fobs so I could not lose my working one? If nanocom required, any near me? Will read ACE codes with my Hawkeye if required.

How easy is it to code a new fob PCB with Hawkeye?

Of course, no broken tracks, nothing I can see dislodged. Other key is OK. Cleaned with IPA,, mechanically looks fine, only have a reflow left to try.

Two things come to mind. Pressure sensor, monitor it, will bring up faults. But I think it may be worth getting a spare ECU. I think the drivers for the solenoids start to fail.

Levers out the injectors so new washers can be fitted. Push short end under the injector pump body, and pop them out. Quick way on the Disco 2

Begin with D? If so. No idea what happened but they were good remaps, then went down the pan. As to wiping it, depends, if about 5 years ago or older, should be fine.
