    P38A Coil to EAS Restoration

Were you guys trying to scare him off?? I just did this last year. Had all the major bits still attached to the car. Really only needed the bags and sensors. That was $671USD OEM and brand new, shipped to my door from somewhere near your side of the pond. Including the R clips @ $2 or so a...

What did you do with your Range Rover today

Just did my ball joints myself too. Seems like the toughest part of this job is aligning the hub.(without the tool of course). The slightest misalignment and the axle seal weeps oil. The margin of error is probably less than half a mm. Yeah that sucks.. Good work and good luck And...you know...

P38A Dreaded EAS fault (Max 35MPH) is this going to empty my wallet ?

And.....Hes been bitten by the bug!:p Good luck, glad to hear you made it home ok. As for the compressor taking breaks in between pumping. I would start with the "door open" test and confirm efficacy of the pump. 7-8 mins from 0PSI is good condition. Really helps to have a inline gauge for...

P38A Highest mileage P38? How is it holding up?

I was just curious and did a quick search. Seems like the last time it was asked here was 10 years ago. So with the decade coming to an end; what kinda life is everyone seeing out of their rigs? Hoping to get first hand ownership experience and not for sale ads that you have seen since we wont...

P38A Dreaded EAS fault (Max 35MPH) is this going to empty my wallet ?

Valve block is under the bonnet. Black box with "EAS" stamped on it. Its easier to access in the down condition than normal:p You only need the valves, an air source, and a flat head screwdriver helps.

P38A Dreaded EAS fault (Max 35MPH) is this going to empty my wallet ?

http://www.tawpark4x4.co.uk/instructions/manual_inflation_device.htm This should give you the idea. Very bottom of the page shows just the 4 valves connected.

P38A Dreaded EAS fault (Max 35MPH) is this going to empty my wallet ?

I once had to drive roughly 100 miles home on 3 airbags, 3 shocks and a piece of a log. Some of it (10miles)was rough trail coming down the mountain in the dark..but the rest was 60mph on the freeway. Not fun, at all... Cant imagine doing 150miles on all four bump stops... If you can get a...

What did you do with your Range Rover today

Finally took apart my rear axle to try to track down this annoying click. Changed out the axle seal, replaced the brake pads and rotor. Cleaned up the nearly seized caliper slides. Also cleaned the axle splines and wheel hub and applied loctite 648. Just waiting for 24hrs before I take it for a...

    P38 ABS Fault Question

Oh yea I second that! P38 brake parts are expensive! Now that I think of it..Ive experienced every common brake failure possible for the GEMS. And when checking the codes each time something failed, there was no ABS ECU fault code. Only when everything was finally in tip top shape did she start...

    P38 ABS Fault Question

It comes and goes.. So even in the UK I might be able to sneak by MOT every once in a while if I were to reset it lets say...right outside of the testing facility.. My money is on the fusebox. Since that is the oldest thing in my rig, in the most vulnerable area. Probably a broken or corroded...

    P38 ABS Fault Question

Mine has had this code stored and restored for over a year. Also, Ive replaced fuses and relays and pretty much all of the braking system and its in top shape. However, I dont pop a dash light. Really hoping you figure it out soon, its always in the back of my mind before a trip and its been...
