    Yes great relief it was too to finally do it, then the very next day the rear wheel bearing went. Hope ya don't have the trouble I had Robbie when you get round to changing gear box oil.

    I haven't checked the plug as it dropped in the container which promptly filled with the old fluid, didn't retrieve it because of new plug purchased

    Have just got back from halfords, purchased a 6 sided impact socket and a can of shock/unlock so let battle commence, used trade card so just under a tenner not too painful hope I can say same when getting it off oh and might be wrong but think might be able to get socket between prop as impact...

    I'm going to angle grind my 32 halfords socket down to just under 30 mm saves taking prop off, will keep spraying plug with WD today and attempt again this evening.

    Thanks I bought a washer before I attempted removing it, and yes when I do eventually remove it there's no way it's going back on, getting a new one tomorrow. I bought a 32mm spanner from Halfords to remove it but unfortunately it's a twelve point and it's damaged the head of the drain plug abit
