Is this the Slut of all Landies?

That's a nice 90, but as someone said, why hasn't he sorted the gearbox? I'd love to spend 28k on my Defender. My next job with be to look at the half shafts in the rear axel as everytime I take up drive I get a nice thunk as it drives off.

    Garage recommendations in AMSTERDAM?!?

What was the name and phone number of the place you left your Defender. I'd love to start compiling a list of landrover friendly garages on the continent. I broke a half shaft a few weeks ago in France and had no Idea where I could get it recovered to if removing the prop and sticking in diff...

My First rebuild - 110 station wagon

Great thread. Your Defender has "Character" I have purchased a decent secondhand bulkhead and have had it shot-blasted, metallised and coated. my next mission is to find a workshop/double garage space to enable me to strip out the old one and fit the refurbed one. Keep up the good work. I'm...

    Defender door hinge difference

Nice write up. I have bought stainless steel nuts and bolts to replace the exceedingly rusty iron ones on my 200TDI Defender 110 CSW. I'm also a little nervous of removing the doors as you can't un-see what you find when removing the door cards. I should probably just bite the bullet and...

    Next breakage - PAS Pump

Hi Flossie, Cheers for the reply. Why would I need a shorter belt? I thought that it was driven by the crank only. I just intended removing that belt. Where would the shorter belt go too?

    Next breakage - PAS Pump

So, having replace the front prop shaft after breaking it in France the other week my PAS pump has up and split on me. That will be why its so heavy on the steering. I'm meant to be off to Belgium with the Wife on Friday for our first wedding anniversary but I'd better get this fixed first. So...
