sorry for the delay in replying. Here is some info from the wiring diagram: Both heated jets are controlled by Relay "f" in the battery fusebox and protected by fuse F12 Haven't done anything further on that Gary as I have two options open to me which I have to consider. a) Do I get it relayed...

Disco 3 (LR3) Fuel leak after changing Camshaft & FIP belts

Busy day today and just about ready to throw in the towel  After thinking it was sorted yesterday, took it for a short run an the back injector spill pipe fitting blew off on the way back. Gave the spring clip a squeeze to clamp the fitting, which appeared to be a fix then took it for...

Disco 3 (LR3) "Spare ??" wiring connector in battery box

Thanks for that info....appreciated That makes a lot of sense as LR tend to use a lot of "One size fits all" wiring looms rather than have specific looms made for all the different level options. 'll go along with that as all electrical functions are working as normal.

Disco 3 (LR3) Fuel leak after changing Camshaft & FIP belts

Just a thought....What if I have fitted the LP pipes the wrong way round at the top of the engine ?? On mine, there are two push in connectors, one has a blue release button and is attached to the Schrader type fuel bleed valve. The pipe I have fitted to that has a push on connector with a blue...

Disco 3 (LR3) Fuel leak after changing Camshaft & FIP belts

Hi Nodge....I think the MOT places feel they have to put something down in the advisory section to make it appear that they have looked at the car !!

Disco 3 (LR3) "Spare ??" wiring connector in battery box

Yes but I am pretty certain I didn't disconnect anything as I was concentrating on replacing the FIP belt first as it looked to be the hardest part of the belt changes. I disconnected the harnesses to the ECU's at the back of the battery box in order to swing them over to the other side of the...

Disco 3 (LR3) Fuel leak after changing Camshaft & FIP belts

I have just had a look and there is already a grey connector plugged into the EGR cooler at the front end. The wiring length on the "Spare" mystery connector is approx 6" so it would have to mate with something close to the rear end of the battery box. I'll post a couple more pics shortly. More...

Disco 3 (LR3) Fuel leak after changing Camshaft & FIP belts

My MOT was due about a week after the updated regs came into effect. Took it with baited breath and it sailed through apart from an advisory for "Front Brake Pads showing signs of wear"-I thought that's what they did-wear !! I am sure you have given it a good check over Bud :)

Disco 3 (LR3) Fuel leak after changing Camshaft & FIP belts

Hi John...It was the memory module not recognising the steering column memory if you recall. The reason I bought the module was because the passenger side mirror had a mind of it's own intermittently. Took it to the main stealer early in the year and their guru spent about 3 hrs on it. Turned...

Disco 3 (LR3) Fuel leak after changing Camshaft & FIP belts

RESULT !!! Fitted the new spill pipes and metal fittings, kept the front plastic fittings with the hard nylon pipe which is crimped on to the front injectors and replaced the pipes to the remaining two injectors each bank. Also made some wire ties which I secured the new pipe to the fittings...

Disco 3 (LR3) Fuel leak after changing Camshaft & FIP belts

Thanks Bud...Have replaced the fuel filter with a genuine one two days ago but haven't had chance to fit the new leak off pipes yet. I managed to lose one of the clips and have a pack of four coming, hopefully be here tomorrow. Contacted the supplier, who are injection specialists and they state...

Disco 3 (LR3) "Spare ??" wiring connector in battery box

2008, Disco 3, TDV6, Auto After changing the Cambelt and FIP belts a couple of weeks ago, I noticed this lone connector in the battery box area, close to the ECU's. I can't remember if I disconnected it from it's mate or whether it is just a spare. I cannot see anything in the area which it...

Disco 3 (LR3) Fuel leak after changing Camshaft & FIP belts

UPDATE.....After a couple of days checking & changing, found the source of the leak to be an injector leak off pipe which had come off the rear L.H. (Looking in from the front) Injector. Managed to refit it and started the engine. After a couple of minutes, noticed fuel dripping from...

Disco 3 (LR3) Fuel leak after changing Camshaft & FIP belts

Disco 3,2008, TDV6 Auto Hi guys...Changed the belts last weekend, front was easy but rear (FIP) was a pain  Anyway, car started fine and ran as sweet as ever. Took it out for a run on Monday (First outing) and when I got back, I noticed a trail of diesel on the drive. Had a look underneath...
