Hi My replacement ecm came today and when I went to fit it I found the Gate that holds the connector in place is a mirror image, so it will not fit?

no you just take the top off 4 bolts, then 2 tiny torx screws that's it (will be easier if you remove the inlet manifold though)

ok so, M51 engine, 2 man lift! with ease!! managed to lift and rotate on my own once I got it home.

you'd be surprised just how much they shift with just warm water, if I wanted to go the extra I use Acetone

Mine doesn't have that part?? I'd put it in an ultrasonic cleaner with warm water and washing up liquid ;)
