I have done recently but only because the glow plugs have not been working

Been running Black Diesel for the last year or so, the last set were only replaced as 1 had failed so replaced the lot as may as well while I was getting dirty but these were the OE plugs from new and they came out in better shape!

so went to do a leak test on my car (tester broke but that's another story) removed the glow plugs that are less than a few months old to find this :mad: guess this explains why I kept getting this message ….

if you don't have the specialist tools LRT-12-115 LRT-12-108 LRT-12-112 LRT-12-114 I will shortly have all the sizes and dimensions for you to make your own or have a engineering shop make for you

cost of a head and gaskets, tools if you don't have them, plus either your time or a garage time to change over?

I would get a sniff test as sounds like you have a cracked head

no it's not it's just a case of removing other things to get at what you want to work on, look through my old post you'll find a step by step guide

well, last night I did......... nothing! curry and beer with my OH and chilled in front of the TV back to it later :-)

+1 also check around the FIP mine was leaking from there as have others on here

Thanks will have a look later and give them a call Managed to dodge the rain last night and start stripping, removed the rad and the remaining water, didn't notice any tell-tale signs in the water or oil
