hi again to all you were right dogsbody removed all the door cards to find the amps bypassed and the wiring butchered.. i cut up some old speaker wire i had and repieced the wiring to the connector for the amps..A LOT OF TWIST JOINTS TESTED before refitting the door cards and all sounds fine...

i`m gonna reconnect the wiring as you say its colour coded takes me back to to my youth fitting stereo`s using twist joints and a reel of electrical tape does that mean that if 1 is duff then the other 3 should work though ? dont know why they changed it out the sony they replaced it with...
