Sport Range Rover sport dreaded EPB error

Hi gstuart. Can you tell me if you need the diagnostic tool to clear the error on the dashboard or will it correct itself when the jam has been cleared in the EPB? Looking to replace the discs pads and shoes and looking through your link the EPB can be unjammed in situ Regards Mark

Sport Range Rover sport dreaded EPB error

Thanks Guys.. All the assistance is much appreciated. Will check out the links and plan for a day of action with my 3 tonne trolley jack and heavy duty axel stands. I think the fault may have happened because the guy left the car sitting for several months. Brakes seized on??? I saw someone on...

Sport Range Rover sport dreaded EPB error

Hi everyone. I have just acquired a Range Rover Sport HSE after being away from range rovers for the last 8 months with a Porsche Cayenne but the lure of Range Rover ownership was too much and being i have never had a sport before (previous had L322 and P38) I thought I would chance my arm. I am...

Range Rover Td6 Steering Column issue

Also the V8s seem considerably cheaper. I assume because of the cost of fuel. But LPG is around 70p a litre so makes running it practical

Range Rover Td6 Steering Column issue

In hindsight I should have taken my time looking and probably would have saved myself a fair bit of work. Vehicle and parts probably cost around the three thousand mark but I have done everything myself so would have been considerably more if taken to a garage. But I have no regrets and would...

Range Rover Td6 Subframe Bush Update

Removed both 21mm bolts forward and rear and had a jack underneath the carrier arm just in case but couldn’t get the subframe down at the forward one.

Range Rover Td6 Steering Column issue

Yes gold rover you did point me the direction before but as everything else worked on the seat control I assumed with help on here it pointed towards a bad column and did not want to remove without having a working unit to replace it with. Regarding the drivers seat trim the more affordable...

    Range Rover Insurance.

Like others I have spent most weekends in my 8 months ownership fixing one thing or another on my 2003 TD6. Lost count the amount of things I have replaced both electrical and mechanical but the way I see it I have increased my knowledge with regards car mechanics or that’s what I tell the wife...

Range Rover Td6 Steering Column issue

hi. Just an update on my L322 steering column where the column motors would not work. I put up with it since I owned the car but thought I would bite the bullet and keep my eyes open for a reasonably priced working second hand one and one recently came up on eBay. As soon as I got it I removed...

Range Rover Td6 Subframe Bush Update

Hi everyone. Finally changing over my rear subframe bushes after purchasing the BMW X5 extraction tool. I thought the bushes were going to be different sizes but they are the same and exactly the same as the X5. So if anybody else is considering taking it on yourself get the X5 set which for a...

L322 Range Rover td6 cruise control issue

I did have the dreaded fuel injection system fault flash up and then engine cut out.. Did a leak off test and cylinder 4 was leaking off a lot quicker than the rest. Changed with a second hand injector and tested leak off again and they all leak off the same. Didn't bother getting it coded...

L322 Range Rover td6 cruise control issue

The reason I ask is because I can' remember my P38 doing this. I know it's a different system but thought the principle was the same..

L322 Range Rover td6 cruise control issue

Hi Everyone I have an issue with my cruise control not sticking to the set speed when I drive up a gradient. For instance driving on the motorway at 70mph and turn on the cruise control and set it will happily stick to the speed but if I then encounter a gradient the speed will decrease. I am...

Range Rover Td6 still running cool after main thermostat replacement

Update...replaced the torpedo shaped egr thermostat above the viscous fan and now the needle rises to the usual BMW centre point on the temperature gage. Maybe I should have replaced that first but when I changed the main stat I drained and replaced all the coolant so not that fed up. Thanks...
