I did have the dreaded fuel injection system fault flash up and then engine cut out.. Did a leak off test and cylinder 4 was leaking off a lot quicker than the rest. Changed with a second hand injector and tested leak off again and they all leak off the same. Didn't bother getting it coded...

Update...replaced the torpedo shaped egr thermostat above the viscous fan and now the needle rises to the usual BMW centre point on the temperature gage. Maybe I should have replaced that first but when I changed the main stat I drained and replaced all the coolant so not that fed up. Thanks...
