Phoned a main dealer and got a helpful guy in the parts department, the part number for the battery via my vin is LR094642 which is the AGM battery

The owners handbook which came with the car just says replace with the same battery as removed. Guess the only way is to contact landrover direct

Mine is a 2010 so sounds like it’s more trouble than it’s worth to remove

Don’t think the MOT tester can remove the engine cover to see if the egr has been removed. I am happy to continue do regular oil changes but wondered what the general opinion was

Got myself a couple of dehumidifier bags of fleebay and on the plus side the volume control on the steering wheel started working, just the CD changer to sort now I usually go for the Varta silver line batteries
