Hi when I replaced the rear pipes on my D2, I also replaced all the plastic clips except 1, the last clip at the very back on the passanger side, as I could not get it out, so I cut the old pipe and just pulled it out, so as it was to tight to get the new pipe in I just pushed my new pipe...

I had a problem like that, the pin at the bottom of the Hi-Low, seared, the levere move from Hi to Low but did nothing as it was not attched to the box, we had to free up the selector rod, then a new pin sorted the problem out

HI, hire a plasma cutter, they now come with an internal compressor, they are not to expensive to buy, it will allow you to cut the rot out then you can clean it up as normal with a grinder before welding on a replacement

having looked at a 1/2 chassis at 1900mm long, I dont think its long enough to do the job as half chassis stop's just after the shook mount he need it longer past the radius arm mount,thats 2000-2200mm long so it looks like a full chassis replacement

well that looks pretty bad, so the first question is whats the other side like and if it starting to go then its probably best to do a part chassis replacement If you think it fixable the try this company to see if they can supply the bits you need...
