Hi all, I'm just about to take on this job. To save myself the headache and just to clarify. Do I need to stop the shaft pushing further into the box. Or stop it coming out of the box towards the back of the car?

I wonder if it might be worth cutting a slot into the drive flange. Knock a chisel into it to open it up or possibly crack it in half and take it off that way. Might be quicker than cutting the outer cv shaft?!?
