Right-o peeps. What I was thinking is as Max and Em are working in the morn. Maybe we should start about 12:30 - 12:45pm (otherwise I might end up going round on my own) I'll pm the meet point.

Yeah will be freelancer friendly. Nothing too taxing on this route. There is one rough lane but you don't have to do it.

I did a lot of looking around when I replaced the shocks on my 110. I hate paying out for stuff twice. Or having to do the work twice. I went with Koni Heavy Tracks and I couldn't be happier. They are adjustable also so you can set the ride from soft to hard.

I'm pretty flat out next couple of weeks but we should be able to plan something up soon! I can do a route for the punchbowl and beyond :cool2:

I'm sure undersell is a bitumen type product. So i don't see it doing any harm. Probably a bit messy if you ever have to work on it though.

... like waldershelf said, disconnect the brake pipe. File a slot in the bracket and it'll be a lot easier next time. I know you don't want to bleed the brakes but it's not that bad really... 10 mins tops if you have both wheels off already. It's worth doing. I've done mine.

I think the lifter may be bad because the Landy sat for about 5 years before I got to it. I get the impression that lifter was fully compressed for all that time. Unless I take it out and soak it in brake cleaner for a while and keep blasting it out with the airline.

What are your thoughts about fitting a new hydraulic lifter on an old cam? 3.5 carb. I've got the intake off at the moment to fix oil leaks at the front and rear of the block. Someones been in there before and used no sealant in the block corners. While I'm in there I was wondering wether to...

Thats good. I managed 16 on a gentle run down to Devon, but that was driving it trying to get as much out of it as possible. So 14s good with the wagon hooked up to the back.

Just for a laugh I thought I would work out how many miles per gallon I was doing on this trip. I just about managed 10mpg.... at least its in the double digits i guess :rolleyes:
