You are spot on Kev. It was working before the box swap but not now. Might have damaged something doing the swap over. Will investigate that after pay day

    200tdi Range Rover

Right, quick update for you all. The Rangy has had a new stub axle, new fan belts new door switches and brakes re bled tonight. Last night I put the road wheels back on and took it for a drive. All good, gearbox is okay with no clunk when you lift the clutch to speak of but can be a swine...

Well it was all going well tonight, everything back together ready for a test and wouldn't start. After some investigation work found that the starter solinoid wire had been trapped in the bell housing [emoji35] so need to take that off again tomorrow now

    200tdi Range Rover

Cheers Kev. The brakes are settling down now after another bleeding. I changed the cv joint, with help from Jue and Lee. All set for trialing today then I lost reverse. Had the top off the box to look for something simple and no, so instead of trialing today we are swapping the gearbox...

Could be, it's getting better the more I drive it. Trialing it on Sunday so that should be a good test

    Hertfordshire Lanes?????

The cables caught fire that go to the sender when I was cutting the rear arch. Fuel gauge is dodgy now

    Hertfordshire Lanes?????

Did anybody go to the pub yesterday? Thought I should let you know that my 200Tdi Rangy is now fully road legal and waiting to be taken for a play, I do need to fix the CV joint, replace some wiring that I accidently set of fire and fit a set of sliders but other that that its all good

    Another Classic being brought back

But surly you can't sell it till the other two are back on the road, and then you need to drive them all equally till you decide which one you like the least then that one is the one that you part with, for a fair test I recommend no shorter than 5 years

    200tdi Range Rover

It's passed it's passed :5bparty: had to re bleed the brakes but all good :D I do however have one problem, when braking the car now pulls to the right slightly before straightening out, it didn't do this before i changed the brake lines, does anybody know what could be going on? is it...

    200tdi Range Rover

Right all done to the letter. Nearly. I had to release a air lock under the bonnet before the peddle would prime. My vacuum bleed system works but I couldn't get a good enough seal so had Sarah pumping the brakes for me. Definitely need the ignition on and the pump running to prime the back brakes

    200tdi Range Rover

Thanks for the heads up Kev. Yes it is ABS. Previous owner said it wasn't but was a pressurised system. I have the procedure in my Haynes book. I have a bleeding gadget that I will use and hopefully help so all should be good, just says which order to do it in which is crucial.
