How did you seal the bottom end of the bit of the snorkel which goes onto the wing? The top half half has the nuts and bolts to tighten the seal against the wing but the bottom just has that little bracket and I've noticed in heavy rain there's a bit of leakage through the bottom of the snorkel...

Not Slough but spend a lot of time in Central London (Chelsea) so possibly one of the closer ones...

What seats are they? Bench, forwards facing etc...

Wow - had a full service done on my 110 (33Tdi mind) which included all the oils and filters for ~£330...

Possible - Although an odd name for it. From what I gathered about the previous owner it was mainly used as a holiday vehicle for taking the kids to the beach.

I have no idea, there's a headroom measurement which is self explanatory. But there's a "trike height" which is 9ft 3in so 111in.

Does anybody know what the trike height measurement on the inside of the windscreen is? It's about 2ft taller than the vehicle?

Even if it had a service recently it might be worth getting a service and thorough checkover done by someone you trust / have had recommended. I've just done that to the 300 Tdi I just bought (few months ago) and they commented on a few little bits and bobs (bushes mainly) that will need to be...

Hmmm I did not know that - should check mine - I think it was a Pro set and the screwdriver tips were sh*t they snapped off, as such I have almost no phillips headed ones.

If it's a leisure battery he's after then I don't think cold-cranking amps will help that much - you want a higher amp-hour rating.

Was actually thinking of a CSW 110 rather than a hard-top. Something like the one I've got perhaps?

Unfortunately I'm not around in South Wales at the moment - the man to get in touch with is fenby1967 he's shown me some awesome tracks: 1) Brechfa Forest 2) Strata Florida 3) Soar y Mynedd Are the ones that spring to mind. You'll want at least another capable vehicle for all of them though...

Since I rebuilt the Series I think I can cope with a few oil changes... My biggest issue is time and is likely to be for the next couple of years. Hence why getting it serviced externally. Besides I've already put aside some of the not insubstantial wages from this summer for it.

Well drove it for ~150 miles today and it flies... Even compared to other cars not just the 300Tdi. I've been suitably impressed but might just be having a new toy to play with. First impression was the "lack of visibility" but I think that was the jump from a 110 to a "compact SUV". Quick off...
