Gun cabinet / pull out drawer system

Which CZ do you have? I can take some more measurements to see whether it's likely to fit. I can take some photos later on today with my rifle in there (Sako 85 Synthetic Stainless in .243 Win). It does have the benefit of a free floating barrel so the barrel and action are only held into the...

Gun cabinet / pull out drawer system

Jai, What are your concerns about - length of guns or length of cabinet? I'm pretty sure the cabinet fits in a 90 (there are mounting holes on the sides and bottoms). If it's about the guns then I did manage to get my FAC Air Rifle (big old beast - Air Arms S410 Xtra) into it diagonally and...

Gun cabinet / pull out drawer system

Get a proper rifle (i.e. hunting one) and it wouldn't be a problem... As an aside - makes it beautifully flat for putting a double mattress in the back (yes they do fit)...

Gun cabinet / pull out drawer system

No longer required Gun Cabinet (conforms to same specs as house based gun cabinets), dimensions 90cm deep (+25mm for lip / drawer handle), 80cm wide and 20cm tall. Fits perfectly into the back of a 110, I've moved the mounting brackets to the back and they've been set up so they can be...

Pewsey, Wiltshire to Bristol or South Wales

If you can wait until the 16th I'm going from Surrey to Monmouth, provided the boot lid would fit in the back of an L322!

Anyone heard of County & Defender Centre in Leicestershire???

Since when? 110's have always been more valuable whenever I've looked. Perhaps if you're looking at the "scrap" side of the market then possibly but a half-decent 110 will usually fetch more than a top-notch 90 because they're so much more practical and (in my opinion at least) a far better...

Anyone heard of County & Defender Centre in Leicestershire???

Same as Jamie90. Most of his Land Rover's are on the pricey side and when I was there most had been "tarted up" i.e. given a full re-paint and looked the business, what they were like mechanically I don't know since I only went to view one that was within budget. The only issue other than...

    Changing My Chassis - Yey!

I know there are no 3 cylinder Tdi's ;). The diesels in the Series III were originally three bearing units (one at either and and one in the middle) and then ~1980 they went to a 5 bearing cranks (two either end and three in the middle) to solve the problems of breaking cranks. They also changed...

    Changing My Chassis - Yey!

Four bearings? Were there some 3 cylinder Tdi's around then  They went over to a five bearing crank - four just don't make sense with four pistons. Got one block stripped on the bench if you want proof, blasted people sent the wrong main bearings so they don't fit...

Replace it? Are you sure that it's going out through the cap and not burning it or something like that?

    is this SLS?

Ride's pretty good but I can only compare it to a Td5 90 and an 88" hard-top we had / have. In my opinion going to a 110" wheelbase made it instantly more comfortable since it's more stable on the road and off-road because of the added length. And I've yet to fail to go where an 88" / 90" / 100"...

    is this SLS?

If it's working then it might be worth a bit, they're >£400 new. The one on my 110 packed up and simply changed over the soft county springs to standard hard-top ones. Made a world of difference since the old ones were shagged, although not tried driving it without the gun cabinet in the boot -...

Any tips for reattaching bell housing?

Regarding the reverse selector - did you put the selector fork on the correct side of reverse gear? IIRC when I rebuilt my box a few weeks ago (running very sweetly now - that is till I stripped the engine) then the selector fork wants to go behind the gear (I had to shove a screw-driver down...

    110 overheating on motorway?

First question - are you losing any water? The temp sitting in the middle seems a little high to me - well based on my 300Tdi 110, since I replaced the water-pump gasket (rise in temps and loss of water) it never goes above ~1/3 of the way up the gauge. Standard radiators etc.

    diesel engine water injection

The benefit of adding water into the injection mixture is that water will expand far more than a comparable quantity of diesel (after all steam engines are still in use in some of the most advanced pieces of equipment - nuclear subs for example, albeit a slightly modified version of the steam...

    Off road custom Trailer Build

I would highly recommend CLH trailers. Chris the boss there designs a lot of custom trailers for everything from quads to large boats. We first came across them about 5 years ago when we bought a small animal trailer off them and were cheaper and far better quality than a comparable Ifor...
