What did you do with your Range Rover today

I could just be a bull in a china shop, mine refused to come back, only clicked further in. Then it became destructive testing hehe. But it was most definitely the source of the mouse on the brake pedal

    P38A EAS compressor pressure

I have found 2 different types of piston as well. If you take out the piston make sure you carefully tighten up the grub screw. Mine were very stiff and the first time I didn't tighten it up fully (although it felt like I did) and lots of noise but not really any air. I suspect the piston was...

True enough, when I did my Junior Command Course every single one of us (about 35 of us) failed the weapons handling test due to never being told about the "forward assist" in Commando units. We were all stunned until he said you all failed on the lack of forward assist. 35 utterly blank faces...

Exactly, who would design a weapon to test then swap all the bits for cheap crap prior to operational delivery? Only our MoD. MK1 SA80: Swapped Brit 30 rnd mag for cheap US surplus (gold under the crap paint that rubbed off when you cleaned the mags) 25 round M16 mag = weak springs that...

Agreed. GPMG with the ball/incendiary/ap/tracer link is Queen of the jungle, SLR, LMG, MP5, HK56, M60 not too bad but hard to shoot accurately, Steyr is also not a bad weapon. Sig 9mm pistol also very nice In my sh*t list = LSW, SA80 in all versions that I have used, SMG, Browning HP

I thought the brake pedal switches were one use only? I couldn't pull mine back when it broke. But I did realise that was what was causing the squeaky brake pedal

My MV F4 1000R came with plastic fan blades that melt in traffic (swapped very quickly with Muzzy ally ones) Why? Because the fans are driven by crank gearing apparently. So slow engine speed in traffic, slow fans blowing air through the rads. Ridiculous. A lot of owners do an electric fan mod...

I didn't set out to buy cheap, I need the car over the weekend and when I asked they said they had a pair in stock and that was it. It's only 6 miles away so I got them. I won't be getting crap next time that's for sure! I'll be getting decent next time. Oh the replacement one's didn't come with...

What did you do with your Range Rover today

Found a broken drop link on the ARB today. Got replacements from Landranger, ANR 3304 Allmake or Allroad (Made in India). Be careful - the threads are 20mm long not 30mm and DO NOT FIT. They are replacing it for me. Don't need embuggerance like that. PS. and they will be changing the serpentine...

What did you do with your Range Rover today

Noticed my serpentine belt - installed 4 months ago and bought from Landranger in October - cracked all over! Not best impressed to be honest. Might have a word with LR about this. No leaks from my field repairs on those 2 head tubes. I can't put the new pipes in as I'm too skint for another...

    P38A Sunroof Drains

Hi Falconho, Rear ones are behind the wheel arch liner on the side nearest the front of the car, I had to remove my arches to get to them. Front ones I can't remember without crawling under. Mine always blocked at the rear tubes. Discovered by the rain on my head when I braked! cheers, Hoppy

P38A P38 diesel DSE - leaking heater feed pipe on the engine block

You could be right Dan. The new one won't be seamed, but my god BMW have put some **** on this engine. That's 2 pipes that should be threaded into the block that (on mine) are seamed mild steel that are interference fit - with no bleddy part number for replacement
