Do you have the little plastic baffles that sit in the small holes by your spots? I cannot we how you remove them.

I bet they painted a yellow stripe down the middle of them and sent them out to every armory in the UK as drill magazines. "With a magazine with a penny depressor fitted, LOAD!"

I never experienced the A1 but did hear all these stories about it. However an added instruction is a lot cheaper than a refit of springs,I also read that the 'forward assist' isn't necessary on the A2 but was so drilled into culture that it was kept in the Weapons Handling Instructions after...

P38A Water leak front of engine.

Sounds like either one of the washer pumps as they have the elbow you mentioned or a split pipe where it joins the pump. Go and have a look at @siddeley attachment. Steps 7 to 9 cover the elbow joint and pump removal. Wipe everything down including some way up the pipe so its bone dry then feel...

P38A Water leak front of engine.

Is it the tubing or the pumps? These can be replaced without removing the washer bottle.

P38A Water leak front of engine.

Put some of that smelly screen wash Halfrauds sells in your washer bottle. That way you should be able to work out the source of the leak. Try catching enough of the leak so you can see the colour and if there is a smell to it.

P38A New crank sensor not working?

If the sensor is used then the wiring into the sensor can corrode causing a break.

    P38A MPG Worries.

You just need to raise the rear axle a few inches and the tank slides out to the rear.

95 P38 best place to add additional USB sockets

I was thinking of a USB outlet by the rear seat release catch so the binlids can plug their devices in on a trip. I didn't look at how to wire it in though. The ashtray idea is good.

    P38A My first EAS Fun

A leaky airbag may not be that obvious. This YouTube bid explains what a worn out airbag looks like. I had a corner going down when parked and was identical to the one in the vid. Also work through Wammers guide in the technical section. It will save you a lot of time locating the cause.

    L322 Ooooh I'm tempted

It does feel a bit suspect as he's reluctant for me to see it. I said 10am tomorrow and he said that it was too close to the end of the auction which ends at 1pm. I left a msg say to CTC me if the deal falls through.

    L322 Ooooh I'm tempted

Don't worry, the bidding is now more than I would pay for a punt. I'll still have a look at it so I can keep an eye on it. If the buyer lets him down again I'll give him an offer. That's how I got my P38 so might work.

    L322 Ooooh I'm tempted

Seen an 03 4.4 L322 on the bay as a non runner. Its described as "There is an engine fault, not diagnosed". Its only a couple of miles away so easy to get home and going for a few hundred notes. Hoping to have a look tomorrow. Is there an easy way to identify if its an immobiliser issue? Does...

Thanks once again Wammers. It feels solid at the moment so a bath of Plusgas it is.

    P38A Chewed Fan belt

looks like the problem was with the mounting between the ram and the tensioner bracket. looks like the threaded side had cracked. Tried to put belt on to see what happened, levered the ram up as per Rave and it broke away. A look at the parts shows the bracket had been cracked for some time...

    P38A Chewed Fan belt

Just had a nightmare drive home in my diesel. Found the fan belt had been chewed. Temp fix to get home failed and twice and it went into the red for up to 30 secs as I couldn't stop due to road conditions. Once stopped I manually turned the fan to move the coolant to try and stop any hot...
