    P38A £20 Hub alignment tool

Thanks Datatek, for the cost I have ordered his bearing and a piece of tube so I can have peace of mind. As I have said before I feel like that lad from Harry Potter who always says "Why does it always happen to me".

    P38A £20 Hub alignment tool

So far I have managed to complete step 3 of of the drive shaft and hub assembly section, "Remove brake disk shield". Haven't done anything for the last few days due to rain and I am now away until the 31st. The weather at the moment looks OK for next weekend I'll give you a shout when I am...

    P38A £20 Hub alignment tool

Yes Grrrrr, MOT has run out and rubber on the lower O/S ball joint has gone. My MOT garage has put it as a minor for the last couple of years but last time he said he couldn't pass it next year. From just reading up on it looks like there is a chance of it requiring adjustment given the...

    P38A £20 Hub alignment tool

I was reading up on replacing the front ball joints and came across these two YouTube vids. It seems to make sense to me. I was thinking you could add a disc that sits on the tube to quickly ensure its straight, similar to the LR tool, rather than measuring.

    P38A Bush Kits

Isn't that one of the advantages of poly bushes is that they can be easier to install as they dont need to be squeezed through a mount like the rubber ones.

    P38A Bush Kits

Does anyone know where I can get a bush kit from. Island only do a Britpart kit or Poly bushes. After searching here the consensus seems to be against poly bushes hence the request. TIA Ent

    P38A Re-skinning lower boot door

Has anyone had their lower boot door re-skinned. I have been looking on ebay and they are offering doors for £80 but they look crunchier than mine where it is now staining almost the whole length of the bumper./ I have now started to think about getting a new skin and having a body shop fit...

    P38A Tailgate rubber seal

Doesn't petroleum jelly cause the rubber to deteriorate and loosen? Wouldn't silicone grease be a better option? Now we are talking the pros and cons of different types of lubricant @kevwill!

P38A O ring size for Diesel Aircon

I am getting the car ready for it MOT as it has expired. I tried to get the system regassed last summer but there was a substantial leak in the system and the hiss was coming from the compressor area. I thought that the leak would more likely be the O rings rather than the compressor so was...

P38A O ring size for Diesel Aircon

I am looking at replacing the O rings that sit between the Air Con compressor and the hi and low pressure pipes. I have checked LRCAT and it just lists the parts as sizes and does not show which of these parts is connects the compressor and pipes together. Is anyone able to advise of the size...

    Vehicle ramp's.

I use a set of camper van leveling ramps. Manged to get them off Flebay for a couple of quid as I needed to get the MX5 high enough to get the jack underneath. Works fine for the Landy and if I need anything higher I use a jack and axle stands.

Rear air bags help and advice

Yes my pins snapped too. I manage to knock them out by grabbing the last remnant of the pin sticking out with a pair of long handled nose pliers and a hammer.
