guys the clutch slave failed this morning and I'm changing it now. But when I took the slave off the pushrod came off with it.
I have all the parts and I've made a little tool with some tube and a screw to hold it all steady while I refit it.
but I can't get it back on. Does it have to be fed...
for me it would have to be a creation all of my own.
Think bowler wild cat but with a double cab as I'd still have school runs etc and couldn't cope with just 2 seats. Having 4 in the 90 isn't enough sometimes
doh I missed that bit....
mine always white smokes when it's been worked on and had the injectors out. I either leave it for a while before trying again or do it with the throttle fully open.
It's a horrible acrid smell and I think it's raw fuel
I take it you have done the ignition on and pump the throttle pedal prime procedure? if not do it and then when trying to start put the throttle down hard to the floor when cranking.
It's all part of the priming procedure after it has run out of fuel or been in bits
I'm not allowed one. My insurance company won't allow it...
I had a tuning box which I didnt know about when I bought it, but I've now removed it.
Shame really as I think it would really wake it up
if you do have to do the pump, Google about cutting a hole in the floor. I did it 1st time by dropping the tank, then after that I cut the floor and made a access plate and it's been really easy by comparison since
does it run ok without a filler cap on?? Obviously don't go driving round without it as diesel spills are lethal, but will it tick over and rev? if so the tank must have a blocked breather
I fitted a bilge blower on the inlet amd it really shifts air now. If I sit at 70 with the turbo boosting the heater is amazing now, at 60 the engine doesn't make enough heat and the heater cools slightly but is better than it used to be. I will have a go at part blocking the rad over the winter...
I do 50 miles a day in mine. It's a td5 and after borrowing a 300 for a motorway I'm glad I got one.
Yes they are harder to maintain, but they have a better turn of speed and mine was far quiter
I wish that was the case. lol
mine has been attacked in all kinds of places under cctv in different parts of the country too, The corberau seats etc are too much of a attraction.
