    Suspicious activity last night

An LED beam? Single dot red laser, or visible light spotlight? :D Also, did you get any details about the vehicle they were using to get about?

Disco 2 Rear storage box fixings question...

heh, I've heard of those  Thankfully, we get pre-assembled cables for our kit these days, which use far fewer wires :D

Disco 2 Rear storage box fixings question...

Hmm. That's a good point re the safety mike, thanks. I'll look into that (no pun intended!) :D The only concern running the control cable is the length involved, which may prevent it running all the way to the centre dash. We'll see. The speaker lead can be easily lengthened by the use of an...

Disco 2 Rear storage box fixings question...

Hmm. Hadn't considered the impact value issue, but I do have a dog grill mounted above the rear seats, so that's, IMHO, an acceptable risk. The trailer socket power's a no-go, due to insufficient amperage. Power will instead be drawn from the lines behind the rear accessory power socket; it's...

Disco 2 Rear storage box fixings question...

Cheers, Brian :D It's either that, or mount it on the kick-off inboard panel instead, where I definitely have the space to do a proper job of it (depending on how secure in place that panel is, of course). I'll decide tomorrow, when it's light outside, and I can have (hopefully, at any rate...

Disco 2 Rear storage box fixings question...

It's turning into one of those periods where, despite what you want to do, other things get in the darn way. Last night, and today, have been two such days. Let's hope tomorrow brings some sanity into things over here. Brian - so noted, thanks. IF I find there to be no holes, how rigid is the...

    Snow

Honestly, I don't know. I mean, here I am, sipping my morning coffee (Filter, of course), and going to collect the paper and doing the usual groceries run has to be done, but walking? In that?! Stuff that for a game of soldiers. Guess I'm going to have to rough it again, and drive down there...

Disco 2 Rear storage box fixings question...

Utterly knackered after work last night. I'll try to get a shot of how it looks today or, failing that, tomorrow.

Disco 2 Rear storage box fixings question...

Will do, but it won't be until well gone midnight, when I come off-shift!

Disco 2 Rear storage box fixings question...

OK, thanks for the info on the fir trees, but they aren't what's in there; unfortunately, the diagram doesn't meet with reality, and the phot is more accurate. There are a total of seven (7) screws or bolts going into the load area of the trim fascia behind the kickoff blanking panel; four (4)...

Disco 2 Rear storage box fixings question...

Cheers :) I should get a chance to have a look on Saturday, all things being equal, but was hoping to get the info sooner, so I could stick an order in with Namrick or similar :D

Disco 2 Rear storage box fixings question...

Not yet. *Ahem* There's a fair amount of clutter in there, y'see  I was hoping for a simple solution, and I'm working late shift this week (off to work in half an hour, in fact)!

Disco 2 Rear storage box fixings question...

OK, here we go again...! I'm planning to install an Amateur Radio transceiver into my Disco 2; however, I have hit a little snag, and was wondering if anyone knows the answer. The plan is to install the main body of the radio into the left-side boot storage bin in the boot space; there's a...

Don't worry about it :) The mate of mine I went to yesterday has a D1 as well :D

OK, quick update on the above, and relating specifically to STC50519, Craddocks and Rimmer came up high on a google search. Craddocks seem to supply Ravenol (http://www.johncraddockltd.co.uk/accessories/tools-oils-and-sealing-compounds/stc50519-extreme-climate-p-a-s-fluid-1-litre.html) Rimmer...

Brian - OK on the MTF94, thanks :) Noted (VERY noted ) on the ACE/PS fluids; I don't have a very local LR main dealer - nearest one is either Coulsdon or Sidcup. I'll have a dekko online, maybe one of the usual suspects/retailers might have the stuff :) Noted on the TP figures...

Other what have u done on ur disco today

Brian, (and anyone else who noticed that I'd edited my original listing out), here's the original listing again, with a addition of my own relating to the tyres I have on my D2. Note that this relates to the Disco 2 TD5. Aside from the addition at the bottom on tyres, this is straight out of the...

Other what have u done on ur disco today

WHOOPS - just noticed you have a D1, not a D2, forget the listing that was here, and go for the easy route to the fluids, which are all available from halfords (that's where I got my supply, although I used Castrol Magnatec stop/start 5W/30, this country doesn't get hot enough for the others...
