Well I've just got a Series 3 Truckcab 88" and its all very original apart from 12J engine fitted instead of Petrol. I was toying with the idea of keeping it as original as possible and putting a 3/4 tilt on the back as all the Galvanised metal work connecting to the cab is in place but the cab...

I am after a Sand coloured 3/4 tilt for my 88" cab mount type if anyone has one kicking about for some beer tokens I can pick up anywhere along the South of England reasonably quickly cheers Guys

that sounds like two problems Yes it is the front UJ was totally shot and I think I have located another gearbox :) would it be worth reconditioning the one we take out as they seem to be getting very rare?

Will be passing your way next month (on a move to Scotland) tbh looking to replace like for like so would be interested in the scrap yards one

yes I thought so James could it be caused by a loose UJ as most of the noise "appears to be coming from the transmission brake" there seems like a lot of slop if that makes sense

may attempt that in a bit but could do with someone having a drive and pinpointing the problem

Ok well 3rd is shot doesn't even crunch runs well in 4th put the overdrive on and well bag of spanners springs to mind

As the title suggests anyone in Cornwall fancy a chin wag about fairey overdrives and series 3 landies? steep learning curve coming up! thought the 90 was a steep learning curve :o

Yup AVM a little tickle and some grips and they turned! now just got to sort another gearbox 3rd is non existent wonder if its got something to do with the overdrive?

Thanks guys I'll have a look over them its got a Fairey overdrive would it follow the FWH are Fairey aswell?
