Saying hi from a new member

I am a fairly new owner - bought a 2001 Diesel and must say very happy. I'm fairly handy with spanners and did check about, you definately see some dogs - but the one I bought is clean, straight, 12 month MOT, everything works as it should bar one window switch. 94k miles - so I am about to set...

    Side repeater removal

Hello all I want to take the side repeaters off to clean them out. Bulbs work - but seems to be stuff growing in there :-) Anyway I read the book and it says simply 'push to the right and they pop out' (for bulb replacement) I have pushed, and they don't seem to move alot. Do I need to coax...

I know they ain't quick.. but..

For the sake of being tidy, I have an SRS thread running here for my issue, you might want to carry that one on.. But could be that your cabling has become damaged from seat to where it dissappears under the carpet?

I know they ain't quick.. but..

Spot on my friend - thanks alot. I re-seated the plug under the drivers seat, clipped it back on to where it should be on the seat chassis as it has fallen off (or not been put back if someones been under there) and presto - no more SRS light/error Appreciate the info.

I know they ain't quick.. but..

..it is if you press the sport mode button - is a bit better but just seems to make more noise rather than leap into perfomance mode!! :-)

Thanks - I called them and they will take alook with the diag tool if I drop in. Seems a nice bloke - hoping he then doesn't turn round and say I need to spend millions on some fault! - have been pointed at the yellow connectors under the seat so will check them

I know they ain't quick.. but..

Thanks Datatek - I will. funnily a friend of mine looking at the car yesterday said 'what are those yellow cables under the seat' as the drivers one was hanging out visible from underneath - perhaps they have come apart. I guess I can pull the connector apart and plug back in to reseat it...

Hi SRS (airbag fault ) popped up yesterday. Anyone know a good Indy around south bucks or berks? (I'm in Marlow) - want to get that checked out obviously .. Would any Indy garage be able to diagnose a RR?

I know they ain't quick.. but..

Thanks all, it doesn't feel abnormal in anyway.. Just checking that having to put a self tapper through the throttle into the floor is normal. I had a 3.9 disco a while back, so will live with the slow bumbling about as opposed to having shares in Esso :) Got SRS light come on now so more to...

aha I see.. are they good / advisable? available from..?

I know they ain't quick.. but..

Got a box on it? as in its manwell? (mines an auto - didn't mention that)

I know they ain't quick.. but..

my 2001 DT 'seems' sluggish. Not had a RR before, but honestly have to bury the throttle pedal quite hard into the carpet to get sensible acceleration. Now I am not expecting rocket performance, I've driven plenty of other TD 2 point something diesels but are these really quite lethargic...
