    Central locking. locking..

I've just finished changing the drivers door regulator - not a bad job really - anyway while I was in there I checked all the connectors to the drivers door latch, reseated them and cleaned with electronic contact cleaner. The drivers door knob now operates all 4 locks when pushed down (which it...

    Cleaning sticky park brake

you're too far from me or I'd bring a thermos and show you how to do it :) Hardest bit was turning the cable adjuster back as mine was a little bit corroded. once it freed up, piece of ****.

But it doesn't lead you to slacken the cable off first, do the adjustment then tweak the cable back up as advised. Joe Bloggs plugging through the manual is going to just adjust up the shoes, then adjust the cable up. They aren't going to slacken it first unless they are mechanically clever

    Cleaning sticky park brake

hahaha.. mm yeah ok. Please cut and paste/quote the part where I stated that, as I can't see it. I can see me saying I ADJUSTED IT AS DESCRIBED. Think you are dazed and confused or your 50 year old glasses are oily. I can make really good tea, but I am alot better doing what I do so someone...

    Cleaning sticky park brake

Yes, I did read that part "Captain Touchy" - I was referring to the part about slacking the cable off first, and pointing out "Its a shame that isn't in the Manual" as in "They should put that in there so more people do it as it makes sense" as in "Good advice.. " as opposed to having a go. 50...

    Cleaning sticky park brake

Shame it doesn't say that in the workshop manual (the backing off cable first part) - just says to go ahead and nip up the shoe adjuster which I guess should be fine unless your cable is HUGELY out of adjustment and still holding the shoes when released

    best oil for Diff?

I can see Dexron etc for gearbox in workshop manual but don't see what goes in the Diff. Is that what the manual refers to as final drive, as opposed to Differential oil? 75W 90? Whats the forum recommendation as I read elsewhere to put 80W in there.. etc

    Limp washer jets

Found the issue - both of the small elbows on the washer jet, connecting the jet to the pipework have splits down them. For now I have removed the elbow and had enough slack to connect the pipe direct, but need to get 2 new elbows. You can bet I have to buy entire jets.. less Halfrauds have...

    Cleaning sticky park brake

just adjusted mine as described.. and now have an operational park brake on 3 clicks. See if that sorts the sticking bit. Was a fair way out of adjustment (still worked but took a few turns of the adjuster to get to 3 clicks) Thanks
