not sure on the td5,but my 300 had similar problems only yesterday and the locking nut on the throttle had slipped,went from 60 flat out on the m way to 90+without trying but i think the pumps been played with,one extreme to another

cheers guys,this is the downside of having a replacement lump supplied with a pump,trying to right someone elses cock up,i was quite happy with the way the previous lump performed with its unmodified pump

thats what i want too avoid,i use mine as a van and want to keep fuel costs down,i dont need it drinking diesel and smoking its guts out,i have moved the diapragm back to where it should be as set by bosch/land rover,luckily they marked its postion with paint

turned my pump down a bit,was smoking slightly on load and had the mot coming up,passed that then all of a sudden it seems gutless,tried turning the pump back up,carefully noting the positions and it would not rev,then it would cut out,finally got it running but very under powered,there's no...

i use mine as a van so need the space,you can get a lot of kit in a 110,i would have no chance in a 90

done 34k in mine in the last 3 years lots of it on m/ways,use it daily,seems to cope fine

just jacked her up,play virtually goes with the brakes on,but theres still slight -play,thinking swivel bearings not well either?

ffs only replaced it 18 months ago,going to jack it up and apply the brakes just in case its the swivel pins ,anyway the stupid barrel nut remover tool i have is a bit crap,thinking of buying a socket are these better and is there a torque setting or is it just by feel?

mine keeps coming loose,so bought a new nut and washer,bought a OE nut AEU4026,but it does not fit?,its a 1996 defender 110 with PAS
