The VC in the p 38 I believe is the same As in the classic... A few years ago this happened to me .., I turned out the be the spline gear that goes into the VC.... It will strip out over time as the VC fails... When this happens you are not going to move.... You can pull the VC and this splined...

Worked on the cv joint today.. Cleaned the axel... Pulled the swivel ball with everything on it And installed it on the 92....got it all back together then pulled the short cv out It was still intact...over all a very nice day :D
