checked the rear left qtr and its dry as a bone . removed and opened both the air and the bcm ecu both dry and corrosion free . no physical symptom there guys .... HELP :flame: its a diagnostic / communication problem or the ecu has died .

Update guys and gals , the air ecu is under the dashboard next to the glove box however you dont need to remove the upper panel just the darker colour lower one . but the video does help .

its at home , been here for months ,i now have all the wiring exposed and the ecu are accesable looking for corrosion etc as it wont communicate with the solaris snap on scanner . checked all fuses throughout and nothing yet found . im in blaina which is north gwent south wales

still going to investigate the air problem to a point then sod it springs on and see how it rides , if its ok and the work around electrics work well then it stays on springs if not well burn the bugger :) not really :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

replace the charger with a set of decent jump leads and a good battery , this should rule out voltage issues with the lock out . just a thought without reading the full thread .

re backfires Lean mix on accel , poor spark plug leads and to big a gap at the plug tip , to name a few . tbh induction systems are good on the right application but multipoint is so far advanced . i have my 4.3 vortec powered chevy on induction till it blew the intake apart .

If it melted the supply and earth wires there's a fair chance its Muller'd , be honest and send it to tmax they may just offer a service exchange at a fair price once you have a new control unit , then ask someone with electrical know how to check it prior to connection , if your near south...
