morning folks, Trying to remove the pas box on my 1986 300tdi conversion. need to remove the pipes and can get a 5/8 open ended spanner on the box to reservoir pipe but bugger all leverage room to undo. Anyone got any advice on removing the pipes from the box? ta

As above although mine is on a 300tdi and it is a bit louder than with centre silencer.....(even) more tractor like now

on my D reg 110 when i put a new servo on i had to adjust the plunger rod that pushes the master cylinder as pedal travel was massive otherwise.

looks like a brake pipe with a flared union.

I've got these early seat runners as well. mudrails wont fit but you could either change your runners for a later type or back up your on own for the existing runners. btw i'm 6'0 and fitted risers to my 98 110, had no problems and extra legroom was,great.

fuel filter looks like from the 1980's so defo service.

Took the back body off my series 3 hcpu. painted chassis and fixed various bits. While i'm there putting on 'proper' body mounts for the rear tub. Old ones were a rubber pad glued to a wooden block which was then glued to the 12 chassis body mounts. New ones are rubber only and about 2 cm thick...

My replacement tank took a bit of persuasion to get in so think they just are not a great pattern part......beats petrol spraying everywhere though! New sender should come with seal but might not come with the fixing for the sender....worth checking as its an interference fit not screw in like...

Just done this on mine....so one pipe for breather to the filler neck, two remaining pipes to each other for balance, then the sender has an output for fuel pickup to the lift pump. You might need to change to a latter sender that has the integrated output.

Just did my 1986 110 front hubs. Defo has a spacer and shims and the thicker drive flange (I know because i tried to put the wrong one on)

Morning all, Front and rear springs starting to look pretty ropy on my S3 Hicap. Tempted by parabolics if i'm going to all the grief of swapping them but not sure what they will do to the ride height and whats best in terms of an occasionally heavy loaded Hicap. Thanks.

Don't bothér with the ****e ones from halfords, laserline etc. They tend not to flare straight. ended up getting this one which has been excellent:

Gradually repairing previous owners bodges. taken off the narrower silencer and tailpipe (all one). Replacing with new correct item. Question is, does the tailpipe exit to the rear of the vehicle behind the spring shackle or in front of the shackle above the spring. it's a lwb with rear mounted...
