Had a look at RAVE. The allen key used to adjust the tensioner pulley looks like quite a big boy. Any idea of its size and what does six pound foot feel like as I won't be buying a mini torque wrench for a one-off? G~

Seem to recall that when it starts speaking French, insists on being called Fifi, and smells of onions and garlic, it really means "Can I have a decent charged battery please?" G~

Right. Now back at home and considering the knowledgable responses. Before exploring them further, I think that the lack of a drive belt might be my first port of call. :o:o:o G~

Others will give you chapter and verse but I really wouldn't fancy that at motorway speeds. I think that the EAS limits that sort of height to speeds under 50 kph, around 30 mph. I'm guessing that the designers did this to avoid falley-over syndrome. G~

Had a re-charge done yesterday. Free of charge because it didn't work. However, the book symbol has gone. It must have passed pressure testing etc on the Kwifit super machine. There is cool air but not the icy cold we seek. My simple mind is saying compressor. Under bonnet pipes are not...

Probably only 4 miles or so. It is a worry though as my wife is already suffering from the ailment that you describe. Looks like a minicab for her - which will be as costly as the service kit. I've not had problems with the EAS previously (other than bag replacements) so am hoping that it is...

I've unexpectedly joined the EAS compressor club. Using Wammers guide, insufficient output from compressor. I can't lay hands on a service kit today. If I drive on the bumps with no compressor fitted, am I going to be treated to a whole lot of beeps and messages? Nanocom was not registering...

MOT fail yesterday on exhaust. Fair enough. First one in over 8 years. I got a couple of avisories as well. One was white visible in rear indicator clusters. Tester said to replace the bulbs with amber ones. It seemed a pragmatic low cost solution. Might be of use to others. G~
