Hot fix and a chip. will they mix?

Locking pin? God it gets worse by the hour! Love the old Range Rover but for a mechanically dyslexic owner it's a bloody nightmare. It's a bit like googling a health symptom only to find that however minor it is, the result is defiantly cancer. So to recap. The garage (Mark Smith, Bicester) has...

Hot fix and a chip. will they mix?

That's on the list for them with the lift pump and glow plugs. Many thanks for the advice.

Hot fix and a chip. will they mix?

Thanks very much for that very logical reply. I will get the garage to check the lift pump (I assume that if its not working they will need to remove the tank) and the glow plugs before they fit anything to mask the problem. it is amazing to have such a valuable resource available. it should...

Hot fix and a chip. will they mix?

I have gained a huge amount of knowledge from the forum about my RR 2.5 DHSE 2002 AUTO over the past few weeks but I have another question. The car is going to the garage to have a warm start issue resolved. Assuming that the lift pump and plugs are ok. They are going to fit a hot start kit. I...

To chip or not to chip, that is the question

Thanks very much for all your advice. I am very keen to do this properly and am willing to pay (within reasonable boundaries!) for the car to be as good as it can be. I will ask the RR specialists to look at all of the things suggested before going for the Superchip. Last question. Is there a...

To chip or not to chip, that is the question

So the Superchip is a remap? Or as the name denotes, just a chip? Sorry to be so thick and thanks for your help

To chip or not to chip, that is the question

Thanks, I have had a really good service recently. New disks and pads, filters etc. I think I need to clean the intercooler. God knows when it was last done. Any further advice on the chip/map would be great. Still don't understand the differance.

To chip or not to chip, that is the question

Thanks once again Wammers, and others. The only thing I have ever had a reason to tow was a very light dingy. The sort of thing you could pull by hand. Do you recomend the Superchip or something else? I am planning to scale down my car pool to the RR and my XKR. So parting company with my...

To chip or not to chip, that is the question

Not towing and it's not that bad,it just struggles a bit on a big hill without a decent run up, lots of gear changes. Sorry should have said. It's an auto. If it's a no to the map/chip is there anything else that will help?

To chip or not to chip, that is the question

My 2.5 DHSE 2002 106k is going well. It does struggle with countryside hills if at low speed so I have been thinking about a chip or a re-map. Firstly what is the differance? I have had a quote for £320 from Superchip and they are close by but.... Am I asking for loads of trouble? Some threads...

    Indicators turned themselves on.

Thanks for your advice. Dry as a bone on the floor and under the seat. Hope that's good!

    Indicators turned themselves on.

A new quirk has arisen today. On returning home, I turned off the headlights and the headlamp delay dutifully activated. I did not lock the car. 5 mins later, all of the indicators came on (Solid beam not flashing) and stayed on until I hit the lock button on the key fob. Its never done that...

    what is this for?

Any thoughts on the lazy starting? It's quite erratic. Sometimes in fine from cold and others it's takes a while. From warm it's fine if left for 10 mins but after an hour it's very 'churney' many thanks.

My Range Rover has healed itself (any ideas what’s going on?)

No Banbury is the name. I am in Chesterton. Was in Deddington yesterday!
