yeah i know, one place uses a tapley (no roller) and the other place uses a 4 wheel roller (but no tapley)

they probably did, and it was probably fine then. You need to check the levels more than just at the annual service tbh, I do mine before any long journey and approx every fortnight to 4 weeks
so basically stuff in and on the car will break everything glass in a crash o_O I carry a fair bit in mine :eek: might look into a way to secure it all better :confused:
apaet from the checker plate I agree with this. Mine is on the bonnet. However I dont remove it when topping up fluids, it isn’t that heavy.
reinforced bonnet and solid bonnet prop (not scissor type) are essential.

My 2.5na used to pass fine. On a vehicle that old it’s just a visual smoke test and a probe up the exhaust for a numerical figure, so I would take it to an old skool type village garage with time served mechanics that understand old engines etc rather than a National chain with spotty youths...
